Bhola’s Sawmill, a logging and sawmilling operation, was founded in 2004 by Himmat Bhola to provide high quality Logs, piling, squares, sawn and profiled timber for heavy construction and building needs to meet our local and International customers. We started from humble beginnings with a single chainsaw operation by manually cutting logs into sawn lumber. Hard work, dedication and honestly were the main building blocks that mould us into who we are today. We are in the process of expanding into further downstream operations to meet a wider range of customers with our new and improved equipment and skilled work team. Washiba (Ipe), Kabukalli, Shibidan, Tatabu Crabwood, Wallaba, Mora, Baromalli and more. The business has its own Forestry Concessions which were granted through the Guyana Forestry Commission. These Logs are sustainably harvested and produced with adherence to strict guidelines set out by GFC. This approach will ensure that our Natural Resources are managed in a sustainable manner by protecting our forest from deforestation and enable a steady supply of logs. Every tree that is extracted is tagged and stamped at the stump by Forest Officers which provides for accountability and traceability. The business has implemented strict quality control measures for all its processes – from harvesting to processed lumber. We are focused on continual improvement to better serve all our stakeholders.
