The Waste Division Lead will report directly to the Directors, and Senior Management.

The following employees will report directly to the Waste Division Lead:

Operations & HSE Administrator , Operations Supervisor , Dispatchers, Drivers, Lorry men and Scheduling & Logistics Service Personnel, Welders, Mechanics, Tyre Repair Man, Payroll Clerk, Stores Clerk

Job Description:

Core Responsibilities

• Review Daily Reports and ensure the info is accurate and sent on day or at latest day after completion of services and necessary info passed to the payroll clerk.
• Ensure Scheduling for all services is done to maximise efficiency and capture revenue.
• Ensure customers equipment on their site is suitable for purpose and in satisfactory condition.
• Resolve customer complaints in all areas in conjunction with Scheduling & Logistics Team
• Manage HR in the division
• Ensure trucks are road worthy on a daily basis – in all aspects.
• Monitor Tyre usage & stock
• Ensure all monthly checklists are updated as necessary – yard inspections etc.
• Champion, enforce and Uphold HSE Management System in the division.
• Approve – Vouchers, Gate passes, Requisitions, Overtime –
• Purchase parts from approved suppliers
• Continuous monitoring of Housekeeping
• Ensure tucks are dispatched based on a daily schedule.
• Participate in Accident & Incident Investigation
• Ensure records are kept updated – truck inspections and equipment.
• Do site visits as required.
• Prepare daily work schedules for garage employees and ensure completion.
• Maintain company policies.
• Ensure with S< that all accidents are reported, and all necessary paperwork is completed and forwarded to the Admin.
• Ensure adequate work staff is available to carry out all aspects of job requirements.
• Manage, monitor and secure fuel and lubricants, ensure ALL vehicles are fuelled daily, monitor daily consumption for abnormalities.
• Ensure all tyres are branded, then stored. Allow cooling time.

Please note, given the nature of the position the Client is more focused on the candidate’s experience in a leadership role coupled with strong mechanical skills based in the heavy motor vehicle industry.
