Job Summary
The General Manager is responsible for the Management of the day-to-day operations of the company. They are responsible for the development, implementation, management and maintenance of the company's financial, administrative and operational systems, policies, processes and procedures for Trinidad and Tobago. They are also responsible for special projects assigned.

Job Duties
  • Display a high level of integrity and accountability
  • Be knowledgeable in Accounting and Finance and also possess knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Investigate cost-effective benefit plans and other fringe benefits which the organization may offer employees and potential employees with the goal of attracting and retaining qualified individuals.
  • Review, develop, implement, monitor standard operating policies, methods & Procedures for all departments in conjunction with Board members, and or staff members.
  • Set prices or credit terms for goods and services, based on forecast of customer demand
  • Manage and ensures that all departments conduct Performance Review and Appraisal reports for all Staff are completed as scheduled.
  • Continually analyze the results of operations and sales and take immediate corrective action when performance deviates from standard and report any variances to the CEO
  • Work with the CEO to make recommendations concerning adjustments in contractual arrangements based on operational needs
  • Resolve performance and personnel problems and create company policies.
  • Ensure successful onboarding of all staff members.
  • Review disciplinary action taken by operations department and step in when needed to ensure adherence to IR Policies and Procedures
  • Review and approve vacation requests.
  • Approve staffing requests.
  • Ensure the proper handling of customer complaints and Keep the CEO appraised of any serious complaints about service and equipment, and take any corrective action necessary.
  • Recommend to CEO any operational changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency
  • Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished on time.
  • Monitor suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits.
  • Establish or implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, or procedures in conjunction with board members, organization officials, or staff members
  • Participate in developing new business, specifically; assist the CEO in identifying new funding opportunities, the drafting of prospective programmatic budgets, and determining cost effectiveness of prospective service delivery.
  • Manage the Trinidad & Tobago Departments to ensure efficient operations review reports and submit weekly reports to the CEO
  • Meet with Clients and maintain good working relationships
  • Manage administrative, logistical, human resources, and accounting services to support company operations
  • Assist in employee recruitment, training, performance evaluation, promotion and termination activities
  • Liaise with the Operations Managers in the various Contracts in respect of custodians and their working arrangements
  • Review financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievements or identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement
  • Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organizational needs
  • Conducts weekly meetings with the various departments, Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Bill all additional jobs, review costings done by the sales department
  • Overview new business proposals made by the Sales Department
  • Participate in community and business activities that will contribute to the success of sales/marketing programmes.
  • Performs such other duties as assigned by the CEO

Job Requirements

  • BSc .In Management, Business & Finance, Human Resources;
  • 5 years' experience in a similar field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Quick Books or ACCPAC is required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must possess excellent managerial skills and be able to make strategic decisions.
  • Must possess good language and writing skills
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude, professional work ethic and high degree of tact and diplomacy
  • Must be highly confidential
  • Ability to review and analyze management accounts.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationship
