Job Presentation
We are currently seeking a Practice Manager for a Dentistry Practice. This person will manage the day-to-day operations of dental offices. The post will be situated at the Chaguanas Branch and will be required to visit the branch offices - San Fernando and Port of SpainManage day-to-day operations of dental offices Manage and direct staff assignments and activities, in accordance with office policies and applicable laws Manage compliance of all aspects with OSHA, local laws and industry best practice Develop and follow dental office contingency plans to mitigate chair downtime Stay current with trends, legislation and regulations in the dental profession Manage patient financial accounts Manage the hiring and ongoing performance of staff Manage and update office computer systems
BSc in Management preferred – not mandatory Dental experience preferred but not mandatory Experience in staff management mandatory Experience in management of business (of any size) mandatory Competent knowledge at the experienced level of computers and Microsoft Office Suite

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead in management and direction of practice performance and growth.
- Setting and planning KPI’s for the practices in conjunction with the Board.
- Administering the day-to-day activities of the business offices, including: patient and employee relations.
- Staff & Associate Dentist interviewing, management, motivation, training, disciplining and dismissal.
- Equipment and facilities management and oversight
- Management of marketing and communications efforts
- Ensuring regulatory compliance; staff training and motivation.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned.
Patient Management
- Oversee patient relations and handle patient complaints
- Help develop, revise and explain office policy to staff and patients
- Help support staff as needed (i.e., appointment scheduling, collections, insurance, etc.)
- Monitor patient relations with regular patient satisfaction surveys
Staff Management
- Assign, direct and manage staff duties
- Determine staff schedules
- Recruit, interview and hire
- Orient and train new staff
- Organize staff training and developmental plans
- Monitor staff performance
- Conduct staff and salary reviews
- Coordinate team meetings
- Engage in conflict resolution
- Arrange staff and Associate Dentists Records
- Maintain employee performance records
- Update and maintain employee policy manual
- Draft, update and maintain office policies
Marketing and Public Relations
- Oversee the design of marketing and promotional materials (print and electronic)
- Design and co-ordinate marketing and outreach events
- Manage dental office advertising/recruiting ads for new staff
Implement marketing strategies
- Coordinate event planning, conference travel, volunteer and mentorship opportunities, community outreach, and similar programs
- Co-ordinate and manage dental office and premises facility management
- Oversee the development and maintenance of pages on appropriate social media platforms, including the practice blog
- Supervise the creation of appropriate and engaging social media content
- Monitor and manage comments and questions that arrive via social media channels
- Develop and implement a strategy for handling negative reviews on sites such as Yelp
- Stay current with trends in the dental profession and social media in general
