Job Description:
Responsibilities:

Quotation Preparation:

  • Prepare accurate and timely quotations for construction, repairs, maintenance, and retail services related to swimming pools, spas, and water features
  • Coordinate with sales and project management teams to ensure quotations meet customer requirements and company standards
2. Payroll Processing:
  • M anage payroll processes, including National Insurance Scheme (NIS), Board of Inland Revenue (BIR), and Pay As You Earn (PAYE) deductions
  • Ensure payroll calculations are accurate and comply with relevant regulations and company policies
3. VAT Calculation:
  • Calculate Value Added Tax (VAT) on sales transactions and prepare VAT returns in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of VAT-related transactions and documents
4. Billing and Invoicing:
  • Generate invoices for services provided, ensuring accuracy in pricing and billing details
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments to ensure timely collection
5. Accounts Payable Management:
  • Process supplier invoices, verify accuracy, and prepare payments within established timelines
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers as needed
6. Financial Reporting:
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Provide support during audits and financial reviews by organizing and preparing relevant documentation
7. Recordkeeping and Documentation:
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information at all times

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the construction or retail industry
  • Familiarity with accounting software Quick Books and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in numerical calculations and data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of Trinidad and Tobago tax regulations and payroll procedures is a plus.
  • Must be the holder of a valid Trinidad and Tobago driver’s licence
